Hello Lovelies!!
I am proud to say that I have now officially completed my program at Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I have met some amazing people and learned so much! My passion for health just keeps growing and I see no sign of it stopping!! My time at IIN connected me with a wonderful group called the Inspire Health Team. I am so thrilled and blessed to connect and learn from a team of like-minded individuals who share a similar passion and mission.
I found this tweet today on my old twitter account and I just had to share. I cannot believe that almost exactly 3 years ago I was dreaming of becoming a health coach and now here I am!! It’s so fun to look back at goals and dreams like here and here. ( also ALL in October, how weird is that??!? )
i wanna be a holistic living health coach soooo badd!!

Success starts with health.
My passion for health started with wanting to always feel my best. I remember after eating a meal of potato chips, hamburgers, and pop and I would feel sleepy. All I wanted to do was nap and watch TV. I didn’t want another excuse to be lazy. I wanted energy. I wanted to be successful in life. I knew I had to learn how to obtain optimal health. I also wanted all the benefits of being healthy which included: easy maintenance of weight, glowing skin, and boosted immunity. I knew if I looked and felt my best, my confidence would be high and it would enable me to handle anything thrown at my way. Thus, I determined that if I found optimal health, I would be successful.
Why is obtaining optimal health so difficult?
The truth is most people know how to stay healthy. You eat vegetables, sleep, take care of your body, etc. These are simple tasks! But why don’t we do them?? It takes a lot of work and motivation to create change from old habits. The secret is….learn to create new habits! Habits will then become a natural part of your life. Once it becomes habit, it will become so routine you will forget you did it any other way. This sounds so simple!! But no one seems to want to do it. People look for quick fixes, crash-diets, fasts, etc!! These aren’t the answer to sustained and optimal health.
Creating healthy habits for BIG results.
Creating new habits isn’t something you can do over night. It takes steady commitment. It takes small steps. It may seem overwhelming, but small steps will get you to your goals. I encourage you to set 3 weekly health goals to practice daily. Make them as clear and specific as possible. Make sure that they aren’t too big of goals either. For example if you eat fast food/tv dinners at every meal, I wouldn’t suggest a goal of home cooking every single meal. This is a huge change and you will likely fail. Try “I will cook 3 home-made meals a week.” When setting goals, always set yourself up to win. Small steps will lead up to BIG change with BIG results.
Always set S.M.A.R.T goals.
The journey to health is easier with a friend.
It is always easier to stick to goals if you are not alone. Make sure to share with your friends and family that you will be starting to create a healthy lifestyle. Let others hold you accountable to your goals. In order to create change, it’s important to voice it out loud!! If you are looking for additional support and guidance, hire a Health Coach!! As a health coach, I have an extensive amount of knowledge on what works and what doesn’t. Together we can set goals, celebrate your successes, and obtain optimal health!! This is my passion and my life, and I want nothing more than to share with you everything I know.
Love yourself enough to choose health!
If you take one thing from this article, remember that to love yourself is to choose health. Your body and your soul craves to be healthy. Listen to it and let it take care of you.
Being our best starts with positive nutritional habits that compliment the body and mind.
I want to end with a great quote by Tony Robbins, an amazing life coach.
The higher your energy level, the more efficient your body.
The more efficient your body, the better you feel
and the more you will use your talent to produce outstanding results.
-Anthony Robbins
Cheers to good health!!
